After gaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, Suzanne taught art and design to adults in a community setting for over 20 years, which included mainstream classes and workshops to people with learning disabilities.
In 2014 Suzanne moved to west Wales to develop her own practice, including making original artwork, commissions, limited edition giclée prints and exhibiting with the Heatherdene Group led by Roy Marsden (RCA).
I'm drawn to the notion of capturing a time, feeling or a place in my painting, often switching between the representational and abstraction.
Working with a variety of materials, I strive to explore and improve techniques then "forget" them to enjoy the process of teasing out the image from the canvas.
My current project was inspired by finding an old packet of polaroid photographs taken by my father, this led to a "childhood" series Fragments of Family.
